Hepburn Shire Council Election 2020

Make your views known about an Indoor Aquatic Centre!

image68

The 2020 Hepburn Shire local government  election is an opportunity to use your vote to demonstrate your support for an Indoor Aquatic Centre.

There has been considerable discussion in social media and in the local press (The Wombat Post, The Local) recently about an IAC. You will also be aware that the State government and Hepburn Shire have committed substantial funds for an independent consultant to develop an Aquatics Strategy for Hepburn Shire.

DIAC has surveyed each of the candidates who nominated for election to the Hepburn Shire Council about their support for an Indoor Aquatic Centre. You can download a copy of our survey letter and all of the responses we received by clicking on the button below.

All Birch Ward candidates responded and indicated support in varying degrees. Please read their statements and take them into consideration in casting your ballot. Responses were also received from candidates in other Wards.

In some cases candidates chose not to respond. You can decide for yourself what this means in terms of their support for an IAC.
